Dr. Sonya Bettenay, BVSc (hons), DipED, MACVSc
(Feline Medicine), FACVSc (Dermatology), DipECVD
is an Australian who graduated from Melbourne University with an honors degree.
She obtained her dermatology specialist qualifications with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 1991. She founded the first private, referral, dermatology only, practice in Australia. She then worked as faculty at Colorado State University and as a dermatopathologist at the Colorado State Veterinary Laboratory. Since 2005 she has worked as a consultant dermatopathologist and as a referral dermatologist in Munich. Dr Bettenay has been an invited speaker at many national and international meetings in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
Her special areas of interest include dermatopathology and both feline and equine dermatology.
